The amazing race tweaks series simply adds more active effects and powers unique to each race in Skyrim in a way that seems lore-friendly. Nords, for example, now have an effect that reduces frost spell cost, due to their affinity for cold. There are some more interesting ones such as the Khajiit’s fall resistance stemming from the fact that cats always land on their feet. All of this is great, but the powers are the most interesting. Khajiit have a power called “Khajiit crosses your path” which applies a curse to the enemy. There is mod for each race in the base-game, so don’t worry about your favorite race being left out of the fun. One specific one that interests me, (and I’ve mentioned WAY too much) is the Khajiit mod. It intrigues me so much because it makes hand-to-hand combat viable. The lore reason is that the Khajiit are known for their martial art called the whispering fang style. The way it works is a)fist-fighting increases one-handed skill, b)the one-handed Paralyzing strike and Armsman perks increase damage and give new hand-to-hand combat powers, and c)making it so that wearing heavy armor impedes hand-to-hand damage, while wearing regular clothing such as robes increases it. It has a very unique way of incentivizing a new risk-reward type play style, for wearing clothes only makes you do a boatload of damage per swing, it also makes you very squishy, leaving you as a strong glass cannon. But in all honesty, I mainly enjoy that it lets me say truthfully that I’ve punched Alduin, The Eater of Worlds, to death with my bare hands while wearing only monk robes and boots, and lived to tell the tale. All of them are fantastic mods that are essential to all my play-throughs. 10/10 sp0ckrates, keep up the great work.
WELCOME
Welcome to my blog! Basically I’m just judging mods for Skyrim. I try not to be too critical but right out the gate I’m going to say I don’t like mods that aren’t lore friendly. But yeah mods are fun and I like judging things so it works I guess.
